A new deal has been funded by alternative finance provider, ThinCats, which supports mid-sized businesses with funding for growth, acquisitions, and refinancing
Printer and photocopier supplier, Anglotech, has acquired EBM Managed Services Group (EBM). The deal, funded by alternative finance provider ThinCats, will see the scope and client base of the company increase significantly.
Anglotech was established in 1992 as an independent supplier for copier, printer, and multi-function printer (MFP) technologies. Originally founded by current chair of the company, Bradley Woods, it was acquired by current chief executive officer, Brad Piercewright, in March 2019.
It works across various sectors, currently with more than 2000 clients. Amongst its solutions are machines from Toshiba, Ricoh, and Epson, and document management software from companies including Papercut and Document Logistix.
EBM was founded in 2005 and delivers managed print, telephony, and IT services across various industries in South East England.
Talking of the acquisition, senior director of ThinCats, Ben Kimball, says: “I have known Bradley Woods and the team at Anglotech since we supported Brad’s original acquisition in 2019.
“In the last few years, the business has gone from strength to strength, giving an increasing number of clients around the UK access to their consistent and quality services. This new facility will enable the group to expand into new geographies and we look forward to supporting future acquisitions.”
Anglotech has made a number of significant acquisitions in recent years. In 2019 the company acquired RVS Group, a Nottingham-based provider of high-speed printers and photocopiers.
Most recently, Print Copy Scan Limited was purchased by Anglotech in June of this year, further expanding its national scope.
Chief executive officer of Anglotech, Brad Piercewright, comments: “We are grateful for the funding support provided by ThinCats and the dedicated efforts of everyone involved in making these acquisitions possible.
“This marks a pivotal milestone in our expansion strategy, and we are excited to partner with the skilled team at EBM to strengthen our solutions and bring even greater value to our clients. Our commitment remains focused on delivering unparalleled service and support.”
