Managed print solutions company, Apogee, raised £4,300 for charity Dementia UK during the festive period through its advent calendar initiative

An advent calendar initiative by managed print and IT solutions company, Apogee, an independent subsidiary of HP, has raised £4,300 for charity.
Apogee’s annual Christmas Charity Advent Calendar raised funds for Dementia UK, in order to provide support to families affected by dementia.
The funds will be used to support Dementia UK’s services including its dementia-specialised nurses, known as admiral nurses.
Admiral nurses provide practical and emotional support to dementia patients and their families. £3,066 is enough to fund a year’s worth of professional and service development for an admiral nurse.
The fundraising project also included a raffle, featuring prizes donated by Apogee’s partners and suppliers such as tablets, headsets, and shopping vouchers.
Demi Bevis-Roadnight, regional fundraiser at Dementia UK, says: “We are so grateful to Apogee for organising this fundraiser for Dementia UK.
“One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime, either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both. It can be exhausting and overwhelming, not only for the person with dementia, but also for the people caring for them, and their wider family and friends.
“Thanks to the hard work of our amazing fundraisers like Apogee, more families than ever will be able to access the life-changing support offered by our admiral nurses.”
Dom Gryszan, director of marketing at Apogee, adds: “We were delighted to support Dementia UK this year and raise vital funds for such an important cause.
“Dementia is a condition that touches so many lives, and knowing that our contributions will help admiral nurses continue their incredible work is immensely rewarding.”
Apogee recently sponsored a ‘Rudolph Fun Run’ near to its Maidstone headquarters, which was hosted by Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI).
The annual event, which took place on December 15th, 2024, raised funds to provide financial, social, and emotional support to British Armed Forces veterans and their families.
As part of the initiative, Apogee employees visited children’s wards across five NHS Trusts during the festive period to deliver Christmas gifts.
