Managed print services provider, Carbon, has opened a new office in Newcastle, its first in England, as part of significant growth in recent years

Carbon, a Scottish provider of managed print services and digital workflow solutions, has announced the opening of a new regional base in Newcastle, its first English office.
Located at Cobalt Business Park in North Tyneside, the six-figure investment in new facilities aims to establish a strategic foothold in North East England, as part of a wider UK expansion strategy.
The Aberdeen-based company provides a fleet of multifunctional printers (MFPs) and scanners, focusing on helping businesses transition to digital through a suite of workflow solutions which can streamline operations, reduce costs, and meet environmental goals.
Carbon has grown significantly in recent years, reportedly achieving 150% growth and £3.8m in revenue by the end of its 2025 financial year. According to the company, it has successfully completed in excess of 1,300 installations in the last financial year and onboarded 132 new clients.
The recently opened Newcastle office follows the opening of a new base in Grangemouth earlier this year, as well as the recent expansion of its Aberdeen headquarters.
Colin Yule, managing director of Carbon, comments: “The North East of England is home to a dynamic and growing business landscape, and our Newcastle office puts us in the perfect position to support that with innovative, secure, and energy efficient solutions.
“As we continue to scale, our focus remains on providing local, high-quality service backed by the strength of our partnerships and the expertise of our people.”
Stewart Hunter, previously of Aurora Managed Services, has been appointed as the regional director of the newly opened Newcastle facilities.
Hunter says: “Opening a new office in Newcastle was a natural next step for us.
“Newcastle and the wider North East represent a huge opportunity, not just in terms of business growth, but in how we can better support the clients we already work with in the region. Having a regional presence will allow us to deliver a personalised service, tailored to the needs of each client.”
Speaking of his new role, Hunter adds: “I’m proud to be leading our efforts in Newcastle and look forward to contributing to the business community across the North East and beyond.”
