After investing in eight cutters from IGS, Mike Beese, director of DecTek jokes that ‘enough is enough’

Launched at FESPA Global Print Expo 2023, DecTek has become the first to invest in the Titanium 330-R reel-to-reel label cutter from International Graphic Supplies (IGS).

Having experienced the launch demonstration at FESPA, Mike Beese, director of DecTek described the cutter as “a real game changer for the digital label market” and confirmed his order there and then.

Already a strong supporter of IGS equipment, this marks the eighth cutter ordered through Peter Flynn, managing director of IGS with Beese commenting: “that’s it, I’ve now ordered eight cutters from you, enough is enough”.

The Titanium 330-R is aimed at the label market and features an all-in-one digital label cutter that digitally die-cuts, cold laminates, removes the excess label materials around each die-cut shape, and slits.

Auto-deviation correction also enables neat and precise feeding into a cold laminating function in a single-pass. In addition to this, eight automatic alignment cutting heads produce a cutting speed of 12m per minute with a maximum cutting size of 330 x 1,000mm.

Once finished, the product is collated into a roll automatically with five slitting knives cutting at 60m per minute with waste removed. The machine is also able to cut a roll to sheet form.

The machine is priced at £79,000 + VAT including deliver, installation, training, and 12 months’ parts and labour warranty.

Flynn comments: “We could not have wished for a better first customer site for the Titanium 330-R than DecTec as we have an excellent business and personal relationship with the team. I’m sure Mike will continue to be our best salesman when we bring Titanium 330-R prospects to DecTek for the Mike Beese experience.”
