Denmaur has announced the launch of its new Reel Fast express sheeting service

Following the acquisition of Middleton Paper’s fine paper and conversion business this year, Denmaur has launched its Reel Fast express sheeting service.
This is a service for customers in commercial print, publishing, and packaging sectors which delivers customised sheet sizes from Denmaur’s range of sustainably certified cutter reel stock within five days of receipt of order.
Located centrally in the West Midlands, the Reel Fast plant delivers mill standard quality for all conversion jobs such as newsprint paper weights and high-caliper packaging boards across the UK.
Described as building on Denmaur’s value added service as well as its expanding sustainability programme, the new service is said to deliver credible cost savings and can also quantify the waste and carbon saved over an equivalent standard sheet size.
This is something marketing and sustainability director Danny Doogan says customers are increasingly demanding.
So far this year, Denmaur has reached a milestone 150,000 tonnes of Carbon Balanced Paper sales and offsetting paper production emissions through the World Land Trust’s REDD+-based projects.
In June, Denmaur registered its near-term carbon reduction target with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) in the form of a 46% reduction by 2030 with a net zero date to be confirmed by the end of this year.
Offering a host of sustainable benefits, the Reel Fast plant is certified to FSC, PEFC, ISO9001, and ISO14001 standards, as are the papers and boards dedicated for cutter reel stock, the same papers and boards are also stocked in standard sheet sizes for next day delivery throughout the UK.
Boosting its sustainability further, Reel Fast will launch with stock that is FSC certified and carbon balanced.
Andy Buxton, director of Denmaur, comments: “The state-of-the-art conversion facility at Bescot enables us to offer customised sheet sizes over as an alternative to the off-the-shelf standard, which will reduce their costs as well as their waste and carbon emissions.
“Although it is possible to order a specified sheet size direct from the mill, average lead times can vary from four-to-six weeks. The Reel Fast service will ensure sheeting and delivery within five days from receipt of a customer’s order.”
