Online document printing platform Printt will use the funding to expand its offering

Printt, a remote printing platform for on-demand A4 printing, has revealed it has secured over £1m in funding which will enable it to expand its offering in the UK.

The company was founded by three entrepreneurs whilst at university and now has over 400,000 individual users and over 1,000 business accounts.

With the move to hybrid working following the pandemic, Printt claims its on-demand printing delivery and click and collect services are becoming more relevant than traditional printing.

The company has highlighted research that backs these claims which include studies from Gartner finding that 90% of companies don’t track their printing costs and that each employee equals an average of 10,000 pages every year.

Printt enables users to upload any file type, print A4 pages in colour or black and white, single- or double-sided, as well as bind and laminate documents. These documents can then either be collected from a range of local print shops or delivered.

The online document print platform also offers a carbon-neutral service working with production facilities and click and collect partners that are net zero and uses FSC-approved paper.

According to Printt, it will use the £1m funding to accelerate the expansion of its partner network and broaden its click and collect locations.

Marat Khazarchiev, chief operating officer and co-founder, says: “The world of work looks very different from just a few years ago. People routinely work from home at least some of the week, and many of our working patterns are radically more flexible than they used to be.

“What hasn’t changed is the need to print files. Rather than managing the complexity of providing printing hardware, or approving and paying individuals’ printing expenses, businesses can streamline the whole process.”
