The print company has been listed as one of the most sustainable corporations in the world

Print and imaging solutions company, Ricoh, has been listed in The Global 100 2023, a list of the most sustainable corporations in the world.
The annual ranking is published by Canada-based Corporate Knights, and it is the eleventh time Ricoh has made the list.
Ricoh approaches sustainability via its ‘Three Ps Balance’ of Prosperity (economic), People (society), and Planet (environment). The company hopes to tackle the challenges set by these areas through business practices that engage with social issues, and robust management infrastructure linked to ESG targets.
Jake Yamashita, Ricoh president and chief executive officer, says: “In 2020, we positioned ESG initiatives as future financial targets, one of the dual company-wide management targets along with regular financial goals.
“This ranking is a testament to Ricoh’s continuous and accelerated commitment to sustainability, such as incorporating ESG indicators into our executive compensation and actively lobbying for climate change action by joining the conversation on renewable energy with the Japanese government.”
The Global 100 results are announced each year during the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. The assessment looks at several key areas including sustainable revenue and investment for publicly-traded companies with over $1bn (£827m) in revenue.
