Visual Print’s MD moves To Solopress

Compass Business Finance has hired a new finance specialist for the printing and packaging sectors as part of its ongoing business expansion
Print-focused finance company, Compass Business Finance, has announced the appointment of Katie Dowse as a finance specialist for the print sector.
With more than 35 years’ experience in finance, Dowse joins Compass from Asset Advantage. Prior to this, Dowse ran her own general asset finance business for 11 years specialising in the digital print market. Dowse’s first experience with the printing industry was working for Xerox Finance between 1997 and 2005, in which she supported a range of wide-format print suppliers.
Dowse joins a growing team at Compass to provide support to suppliers and customers across the print and packaging industries.
Expressing her enthusiasm about joining Compass, Dowse says: “I’m thrilled to be going back to my roots to join Compass Business Finance, a truly entrepreneurial, independent company with an innovative and relational approach to the market.”
Dowse attended the Independent Print Industries Association’s (IPIA’s) Recognising Excellence awards alongside other representatives of Compass. The company was announced as the IPIA Associate of the Year at the event.
Speaking of attending the event, Dowse adds: “Attending a recent awards ceremony and networking with everyone reminded me of how good it is to be back to my print roots and the joy of human interaction. I have missed the buzz of being part of such a fantastic industry of people.”
This latest hire follows a series of recent appointments and promotions recently announced by Compass, which have been carried out as part of its ongoing business expansion.
In recent weeks, Charlie Macdonald was recruited as a new area sales manager for the company. In addition, business development manager Bode Adeluola joined the newly established sales team and finance specialist Kellie Franklin was promoted to lead a team of development executives.
