FESPA has revealed the programme for its inaugural Personalisation Experience Conference

Launching for the first time in Munich this year, FESPA has announced the programme for its Personalisation Experience Conference.
The conference will run from May 23rd to 25th alongside the FESPA Global Print Expo and European Sign Expo.
The three-day programme will see delegates learn about the psychology and behavioural science of personalisation, as well as the commercial value of personalisation.
Richard Askam, FESPA’s Personalisation Ambassador will moderate the conference having worked on several personalised marketing campaigns including the well-known ‘ShareACoke’ campaign for Coca-Cola.
Hosted in English, confirmed sessions include ‘Why you need to rethink personalisation’ by Peter Cross, customer and retail expert; ‘For the Youngest Generations – Gen Z and Gen A – Personalisation is Everything’ by Chloe Combi, author and Gen Z/A expert; and ‘The Cocktail Party – Understanding the Customer Journey: The Foundation of Effective Personalisation’ by Gianfranco Cuzziol, personalisation consultant at Natura & Co.
Other sessions will cover topics such as ‘People, Planet, Profit: How All Can Benefit from Print Personalisation’ by Tony’s Chocolonely digital sales and experience manager Hannah Green; and ‘From Industry 4.0 to Industry 4.U – Next Generation Customisation & Personalisation’ by Frank Piller, professor of management at RWTH Aachen University.
Sabine Huijskes, innovation manager of Physical Product and Process at Greetz and Konrad Klimkowicz and innovation project manager at Moonpig will discuss finding the right balance between innovation and order fulfilment efficiency in her talk titled ‘Sending Emotions for Next Day Delivery – How Personalised Gifting Connects’.

Finally, Justin Cairns, head of offline production at Ogilvy UK will deliver a talk titled ‘Personalisation and Creativity’ where he will cover award-winning case studies showing the creativity possible with personalisation. He will also highlight that personal data isn’t always necessary.
Additional speakers from brands such as ProQure, PRINTFUL, Landa Digital Printing, Ipsos, Printess, and Canon will offer insight into the behavioural science of personalisation, driving impact and customer loyalty, and more.
Askam will also lead a series of ‘in conversation with’ sessions where he will be joined by consumer and technology experts, retailers, and manufacturers.
Duncan MacOwan, head of marketing and events at FESPA, says: “Consumer demand for personalised, instant, and augmented experiences has increased over the last years and brands that have embraced personalisation have sharpened their competitive edge and increased their market share.
That’s why, with out first-ever Personalisation Experience conference, we want to help delegates grasp the commercial value of personalisation and demonstrate how they can seize the exciting opportunities it presents in the industries they’re active in.”
Tickets to the three-day conference, the Personalisation Experience exhibition area, and the co-located FESPA Global Print Expo and European Sign Expo are €495 (£430).
