Kyocera reports successful first drupa

The company used the trade fair as a chance to showcase a range of print technologies

Kyocera offered product demonstrations, print samples, and one-on-one explanations at drupa

Kyocera Document Solutions Europe has reported “great success” at drupa 2024 after exceeding initial targets across what it deems a successful 11 days.

At the exhibition the company launched the new TASKalfa Pro 55000c, designed for transactional and trans-promotional printing and book publishing. The company also give a preview of its FOREARTH textile printer and Belharra Kyocera Nixka inkjet photo printer.

Regarding what led the company to exhibit at the trade fair, Hironori Ando, president of Kyocera Document Solutions, says: “We began a feasibility study of inkjet printers 20 years ago in 2005, we started product planning in 2011 and in 2016 we completed our first prototype. In 2019, we launched the TASKalfa Pro 15000c, making further investment in high-capacity ink loading, a monochrome model and collaboration with third parties”.

Ando adds that drupa become increasingly important for the launch of the new TASKalfa Pro 55000c.

Takuya Marubayashi, president of Kyocera Document Solutions Europe, comments: “The TASKalfa Pro 55000c meets the increasing demand for digitalisation in the printing market. It enables output on a wide range of media, especially the capability on offset coated media, providing new choice in the space of graphic arts.

“It’s length of less than 8.5 metres means that it is number one for compact design in the segment. This is the only machine in its segment with no pre-treatment requirements, enabling an outstanding total cost of ownership advantage.”

The company exhibited in Hall 8a, Booth C20 where it promoted its focus on sustainability as well as its mission to showcase its award-winning printheads and inks, including the new KJ4B-EX600-RC with ink recirculation.

Marubayashi adds: “We would like to thank all of the drupa attendees who came to visit us at the Kyocera booth and see our vision for the future of inkjet technology.
