IPIA sets date for key networking event
More than 130 print professionals are expected to attend the IPIA Annual Networking Lunch on June 18th in Birmingham
Opening with a keynote from a global economist, drupa cube will host over 50 sessions across drupa

Kicking off on May 28th at 11.15am with a keynote from economic analyst Vicky Pryce, drupa cube will host over 50 sessions across the 11-day show.
The central conference forum at drupa, Pryce will open the first day with insights into the economic challenges and opportunities facing us and will discuss how companies of all sizes can remain adaptable and maintain growth in uncertain times.

Under the theme ‘Business Boosters’, a range of sessions will provide insights into business development and management. Mr. Ogawa, president and chief executive officer of Epson will discuss the print industry in the digital age and provide insights into the future of the industry.
Other Business Boosters include a talk from Gershon Alon, head of software solutions at HP Indigo on the future of automated print production; as well as a talk on how to reliably manage and scale a business against the backdrop of a digital age by Bart Van der Horts, chief executive officer of iChannel.

Charles Jarrold, chief executive officer of the BPIF will discuss how to attract and retain staff; Marcus Timson, co-founder of FuturePrint will speak about the crucial role storytelling can play in business growth.
FuturePrint’s other co-founder, Frazer Chesterman will host a Business Booster session on how to generate ideas and launch new innovations.
Other topics include the role of substrates in marketing and how print and packaging suppliers can increase market share and become a ‘trusted advisor’ to clients.
Across the Circular Economy and Sustainability sessions, speakers will offer practical and actionable advice such as how to calculate the carbon footprint of printed products.
Yujing Pan, an expert in product compliance in Asian markets in Enhesa, will discuss the environmental regulations and compliance landscape with environmental and product standards for printing and packaging production in Asian countries.

Jonathan Graham, chairman of the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership will continue this topic with a panel including Pan and keynote speaker Dr. Calvin Lakhan to discuss strategies for navigating environmental regulations.
Additional topics will cover smarter labelling, particularly in relation to sustainability and waste management; the language we use to communicate sustainable values and cultural differences; as well as inks and coatings for recycling.
Designed to give insights into the major forces at play, be they economic, digital, or demographic, the Trends and Forces sessions will cover innovative business models.
Henrik Müller-Hansen, founder and chief executive officer of Gelato will highlight new growth opportunities for manufacturers in the age of the creator economy.

Based in Norway, Gelato enables local production through the world’s largest on-demand production network, connecting over 130 production sites and 50 transport companies in 32 countries. With this knowledge, Müller-Hansen will explain the importance of agility, speed, personalisation, and sustainability.
From sustainable printing inks to printed electronics, the Organic and Printed Electronics Association (OE-A) will deliver a number of presentations at drupa cube.
MD Dr. Klaus Hecker will discuss the latest trends and technologies in flexible and printed electronics, covering topics such as energy storage, IoT smart labels, and advanced printing technologies.
Other sessions will include how ePaper displays could revolutionise the role of packaging as well as forward-looking presentations for the packaging sector including from Noam Zilbershtain, vice president and general manager of HP Indigo and Scitex on the potential of digital printing.
All sessions will be delivered in English apart from a German-language conference ‘Change your Media World’ presented by f:mp, German association for media production on June 2nd.
