We look at a selection of manufacturers at this week’s Labelexpo Europe in Barcelona, including industry firsts and European debuts

Labelexpo Europe 2025 launches at the Gran Via venue of Fire Barcelona tomorrow, with the event running from September 16th to 19th.
Launched in London in 1980, Labelexpo moved to Brussels in 1985. After 38 years the show has now moved from Brussels to Barcelona for 2025.
Touted as the world's largest event for the label and package printing industry, the exhibition will offer a wide array of products, launches, and live demonstrations from across the printing and packaging industry.
Here, we list a small selection of the hundreds of manufacturers you can find at the show, detailing the new solutions they will offer to the market including industry firsts and European debuts.

ACTEGA, a manufacturer of specialty coatings, inks, adhesives, sealants, and compounds for print and packaging, will showcase its latest advanced labelling technologies at Labelexpo, from Stand 3D41.
Visitors will discover a range of new customer samples and live demonstrations of ACTEGA’s on demand metallisation technology, ECOLEAF, configured with a Gallus One digital press.
Explaining the collaboration, Dario Urbinati, chief executive officer of Gallus Group, says: “Our collaboration with ACTEGA is built on the shared mission to foster industry-wide innovation and drive smart, connected printing.
“By combining ECOLEAF technology and the Gallus One platform, printers and converters will gain new opportunities for creative, flexible, and sustainable digital label production.”
For the first time at Labelexpo, ACTEGA’s Signite application machinery will be utilised to showcase the decoration of glass and PET bottles.
The manufacturer will also showcase its latest coatings product portfolio for pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, and in-mold labels. ACTEGA’s advanced coatings include gloss, matte, motion effects, as well as specialist UV and LED coatings.

Digital printing solutions provider, Domino, will unveil its latest digital printing innovations at this year’s exhibition, including the new Domino N410 LED label press.
Domino will feature the new press alongside a comprehensive range of its digital printing solutions at Stand 3E91 of the show.
Live demonstrations will showcase the N410 LED label press, as well as Domino’s N730i and N610i digital label presses. Also on show at the stand will be the manufacturer’s K600i and K300 monochrome inkjet printers.
David Ellen, divisional director of digital printing at Domino, says: “Labelexpo Europe is a key event for label converters interested in the latest advancements in printing and finishing technology, and we look forward to sharing our expertise and state-of-the-art printing solutions with them at Stand 3E91.”

Print press manufacturer, Konica Minolta, will unveil a new product prototype and showcase its expertise in labels, packaging, and embellishment technologies at Labelexpo Europe 2025.
Sharing Stand 5E61/5G60 with MGI Digital Technology, the companies will collaborate with daily guided stand tours starting at 10:30am.
Konica Minolta’s stand will include a technology preview for an upcoming AccurioLabel product prototype, as well as demonstrations of the AccurioLabel 230 and AccurioLabel 400 printers.
Along with this, finishing solutions on show will include the MGI JETvarnish 3D Web 400, MGI Octopus Web, and the GM DC350Mini Basic, alongside software demonstrations of the Konica Minolta AccurioPro Flux and AccurioPro Dashboard.

Edale, a Canon company and manufacturer of flexographic printing and converting solutions, will showcase its Edale CartonLine live at Labelexpo Europe, as part of Canon’s display on Stand 4E07.
Edale’s demonstrations will highlight the solutions capability to combine high-quality printing, embellishment, and finishing in a single workflow.
By bringing a live single-pass solution to the show floor, Edale aims to show how flexo can streamline existing carton production processes by reducing high labour costs, minimising work-in-progress, and freeing up valuable factory space.
Lachlan Buirds, managing director at Edale, comments: "We are delighted to be joining our colleagues from Canon Europe on its stand at Labelexpo.
“The show has always been an important platform to connect with converters and showcase what’s next in print technology. We are proud to bring our CartonLine flexo press for the very first time to the show floor.”
Alongside these Edale solutions, the Canon stand will feature a virtual display of the forthcoming LabelStream LS2000 press, complete with printed samples and interactive content.
The newly developed UVgel Factory for Labels will also be on display for the first time, an automated, integrated production solution for high-quality, customised labels.
Developed in partnership with Canon’s finishing partners, the solution comprises Canon’s Colorado M-series, the Fotoba Jumbo Roll JRL 17, and a Colex flatbed cutting table.
The solutions are combined to produce customised labels that don’t require lamination. It also offers a unique FLXfinish+ technology which can combine matte and gloss effects on the same print.

Fujifilm will return to Labelexpo in Barcelona this year on Stand 5D73, introducing new technologies that aim to highlight its ongoing commitment to driving progress in the label and packaging industry.
The company’s stand will feature analogue and digital areas, showcasing a variety of solutions in each.
In the analogue area, live flexo plate production will be taking place using Fujifilm’s Flenex FW water-wash plates. Alongside this, there will be demonstrations of Fujifilm’s LuXtreme LED UV system and CuremaX inks and varnishes, which are developed to provide sustainable, energy-efficient production solutions.
The Jet Press FP790, Fujifilm’s water-based digital inkjet press designed for flexible packaging, will be on show, as well as Fujifilm’s flagship B2 digital inkjet press, the Jet Press 750S.
Fujifilm will also demonstrate its new ‘5UPER COLOUR’ five-colour presses, launched recently in Europe, including the mid-range Revoria Press SC285S which features an additional speciality toner station to allow five-colour printing in one pass.
A dedicated presentation stage will host regular sessions on the benefits of both Fujifilm’s analogue and digital solutions.

At Stand 3E23-3E29 of the exhibition, print press manufacturers HEIDELBERG and Gallus will unveil new solutions to the European market.
Gallus, which offers a wide range of label printing technologies, currently operates as a subsidiary of HEIDELBERG, leveraging the larger company's technology and global sales network.
The companies’ joint stand will include two new additions to Gallus’ ‘System to Compose’ solution, a modular concept for digital label presses like the Gallus One that allows printers to add, remove, and swap various units to adapt their production lines to changing job requirements.
Other highlights include the reveal of a new modular Gallus ‘Screeny’ screen printing unit, alongside additions to Gallus service package and Gallus Classics, which offers services, sales, and parts logistics for Gallus printing solutions.
HEIDELBERG will use its presence at the show to reveal high-performance systems and workflows from its HEIDELBERG Prinect workflow and the HEIDELBERG Sheetfed portfolio.
Dr David Schmedding, chief technology and sales officer at HEIDELBERG, says: “HEIDELBERG and Gallus’s joint presence at Labelexpo underscores the strategic importance of label printing within the group.
