Vivid Laminating Technologies, a UK manufacturer of finishing systems, has announced that Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia will become its first authorised distributor in the Asia Pacific region, specifically for the Australian market.

The announcement from Vivid came at the recent PacPrint exhibition in Sydney, which is taking place from May 20th to 23rd at the Sydney Showground events venue.

According to a recently released article about the announcement from Sprinter, the move by Vivid will “address the growing demand for finishing technology across Australia’s packaging, labelling, and print industries.”

Yoshitaka Nakamura, communications head of Oceania and senior general manager of Fujifilm BI, reportedly said at PacPrint: “Vivid’s reputation as a trusted innovator in laminating and print finishing technologies, combined with its competitive pricing structure, made it an ideal partner for our market.

“Its product range ideally complements our solutions, enabling us to deliver high-value print and finishing capabilities to our customers across Australia.”

The Vivid products Fujifilm Australia will distribute include the VeloBlade Nexus wide-format die-cutter, as well as the VeloBlade Volta sheetfed production die-cutter.

Officeworks, an office supplies chain in Australia, has been announced as the first customer to purchase Vivid Technologies following the deal with Fujifilm Australia.

Speaking about the announcement on LinkedIn, Lewis Evans, director of Vivid, said: “As a leader in retail technology, Officeworks is proud to harness this advanced automation technology to meet the evolving needs of their customers – making packaging requests faster, more efficient and of higher quality.

“Huge thanks to the teams at Officeworks, Vivid and FUJIFILM Business Innovation Australia for making this happen.”
