Blackpool-based commercial printer, Forsyth and Steele, has completed a £62k investment in new print technology, including a Morgana bookletmaker and a fully automated business card slitter.

Forsyth and Steele provide a full range of design and print services including corporate stationery, brochures, and exhibition displays.

The latest kit investment aims to improve Forsyth and Steele’s turnaround times, output quality, and capacity for its range of clients across the UK.

Chief among the investments is a new Morgana BM5035S bookletmaker with a VFX vacuum feeder, which offers a variety of automation tools designed to produce professional booklet runs at high speed and consistency.

Part of the BM5000 series, the finisher creates a wide range of booklets with a square-fold spine, including A4 landscape applications which can be produced by processing sheets up to 620mm long.

The high-capacity Vacuum Feeder module is designed to feed a wide range of paper types and weights with minimal operator adjustment, including two paper trays with a combined capacity of up to 5400 sheets.

Additional modules for the BM5035S are available including a side trimming module and an optional convenience feeder.

Alongside the bookletmaker, an upgraded business card slitter has been added to boost output capacity and throughput.

To keep pace with increasing demand and productivity, Forsyth and Steele has also recently welcomed two new employees to the team.

Managing director of the family-owned company, Alex Forsyth, who took over from his father Ian Forsyth in September 2025, says: “These investments continue an exciting new era of growth for Forsyth and Steele.

“We’re on a mission to support our clients through print and tangible marketing that works. Our customers range from small local businesses to national organisations, all with different priorities. This investment helps us elevate the service we’ve been proud to deliver for over 40 years.”
