Friedheim International, a UK supplier of finishing and packaging solutions, has announced an exclusive partnership with automation and packaging company Heripack.

The deal means that Friedheim is now the exclusive UK distributor of Heripack's packaging equipment and automation technologies.

The partnership has been made with the goal of expanding Friedheim’s client base in the UK and Ireland.

The partnership will also allow Friedheim to diversify its offerings in food, pharmaceutical, and consumer goods packaging.

Heripack's commitment to sustainability was also highlighted as a key factor behind the collaboration. According to Friedheim, Heripack’s range of hardware “reflects growing industry trends toward automation and eco-friendly practices”.

Friedheim’s existing range of packaging solutions includes a range of sustainable offerings. This includes the Beck Paperbag, which uses sustainably sourced paper, has a 95-to-5 paper to plastic ratio, and is PVDC free.

Darren Crane, managing director of Friedheim International, says: "Heripack’s expertise in automation and its state-of-the-art packaging solutions align with our own vision to enhance productivity and reduce costs for our customers.

“This partnership allows us to provide even greater value and strengthen our role as a technology leader in the packaging industry."

Crane was appointed as managing director of Friedheim International earlier this year, after joining Friedheim as sales director three years ago. Crane has worked in the printing industry for more than 25 years, both in the UK and Australia.

Founded in 1884, Friedheim celebrated 140 years in business this year. In May, it secured the rights to distribute GUK’s range of folding machines in the mainland UK.
