MX Display has praised the HP Stitch’s colour accuracy, ease of use, and reliability

Derby-based wide-format graphics and signage provider, MX Display, has credited the addition of a HP Stitch S1000 for its recent growth and the success of its sustainability strategy.

MX Display, which is celebrating its 40th year in business in 2025, provides print for projects such as window, wall, and floor graphics, fabric displays, and wayfinding.

The signage printer purchased the HP Stitch S1000 fabric and textile dye-sublimation printer from approved HP partner, RA Smart, in late 2023. According to the company, the printer has since established itself as an integral part of its daily operations.

Adrian Rushton, managing director of MX Display, says: β€œWe chose to work with HP Stitch technology because it offers the colour accuracy, efficiency, ease of use, and reliability that are critical to our business, especially in producing soft signage and branded commercial environments.

β€œHaving been early adopters of dye-sublimation printing over a decade ago, we’re familiar with the benefits of this technology. The HP Stitch has fitted seamlessly into our workflow, delivering the vibrant, high-quality results our clients expect.”

Speaking in more detail about how the HP Stitch is used, Rushton adds: "The HP Stitch plays a key role in our wider production ecosystem, complementing our UV and latex print technologies.

β€œWhile those platforms handle a wide range of rigid and flexible substrates, the Stitch technology gives us the dedicated capacity we need for high-quality textile applications. It allows us to offer a complete solution to our clients by expanding our capabilities into premium soft signage and fabric-based branding for commercial environments.”

The machine runs water-based dye sublimation inks which are OEKO-TEX certified, allowing MX Display to create applications for use in sensitive environments such as retail and hospitality. This also helps to align the company’s output with its sustainability goals.

This has fitted in with the company’s β€˜Eco Graphics’ range, which is designed to help clients achieve their branding goals while reducing environmental impact. This includes using PVC-free materials, recyclable fabrics, water-based inks, and more energy-efficient production.

Last month, large-format supplier and approved HP reseller, Papergraphics, added the Stitch S1000 to its upgraded showroom.

The addition follows Papergraphics’ official appointment as a HP Stitch reseller in March 2025. The addition is part of a larger revamp of the kit supplier’s Crawley demonstration centre, with immersive zones showcasing finished applications across key markets spanning dΓ©cor, signage, soft furnishings, and retail displays.

Other new additions to the demonstration centre include the HP Latex 630W, HP Latex 830W, and HP Latex R530 printers, as well as both the HP Latex R1000 and HP Latex R2000.
