HP has launched two new additions to its technical wide-format lineup: the HP DesignJet T1600 Plus Edition and the HP DesignJet T2600 MFP Plus Edition.

The new machinery launch is part of HP’s commitment to its architectural wide-format portfolio, which is seen as a resilient, high-margin sector in the commercial print market.

The sector's stability is driven by the continued requirement in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) for high volumes of physical, large-scale blueprints and site plans.

The latest DesignJet Plus Editions offer a range of new tools designed to help AEC enterprises simplify wide-format printing workflows while improving productivity, collaboration, and security.

The new lineup introduces the first HP DesignJet multifunction printer that can connect paper drawings directly into HP Build Workspace cloud workflows, helping AEC teams work more collaboratively across physical and digital project environments.

With integrated HP Build Workspace connectivity, users can scan, share, manage, and collaborate on drawings through a single connected platform, while QR-linked version control allows teams to sync paper plans with digital drawings.

Daniel Martinez, senior vice president and division president for HP Large Format Printing, says: “The future of large-format printing is connected, intelligent, and built around how work actually happens today.

“With the new HP DesignJet T1600 and T2600 Plus Edition Printer series, we are helping AEC teams work more efficiently and effectively by connecting print workflows with the digital tools they already rely on every day across the office and jobsite.”

The company’s newest DesignJet offering includes a number of HP Click software and HP Click Driver enhancements designed to simplify PDF printing workflows, enabling users to preview files, detect print errors, and manage print settings through a more intuitive system than previous models.

Both printers feature print speeds of up to 180 D-size prints per hour, integrated automatic print stacking for up to 100 pages, dual-roll capabilities on select models, and the integration of Adobe PDF Print Engine technology for more accurate reproduction of complex files.

The new printer series also utilises HP Wolf Pro Security software, which has been added in response to the security needs of IT-managed AEC environments including sensitive project data and distributed teams.

HP Wolf Pro offers secure user authentication, firmware validation, HP Secure Boot capabilities, and advanced encryption technologies, all designed to help safeguard devices and documents without adding complexity for users.

HP will showcase the new HP DesignJet T1600 Plus Edition and HP DesignJet T2600 MFP Plus Edition at the UIA World Congress of Architects 2026 in Barcelona, which runs from June 28th to July 2nd in iconic locations throughout Barcelona and its metropolitan area.
