UK direct mail and print specialist, Citipost Mail, has been awarded Platinum accreditation from Investors in People (IiP), the highest level of recognition within the ‘We invest in people’ framework.

The accreditation, which was awarded to Citipost Mail last month, followed a detailed assessment process from the IiP.

Citipost has calculated that its Platinum IiP accreditation ranks it as number one worldwide in its sector of direct mail, with it ranked in roughly the top 2% of organisations assessed across all sectors.

Investors in People is an international framework designed to improve people management and workplace performance, which was first established in 1991. Organisations are independently assessed against nine performance indicators covering leadership, culture, employee empowerment, continuous improvement, and results.

More than 15,000 active organisations across 75 countries are currently part of the Investors in People community, with over 50,000 in its full history.

The IiP assessor reportedly described Citipost Mail as a “high-performing organisation” with its strategy and culture fully aligned with its ambition.

Leadership, trust, clarity of direction, and empowerment were highlighted as strengths, with assessors noting that employees feel “invested in” and supported.

Citipost Mail was founded in 2009, growing to become one of the UK’s largest independent mail and direct marketing firms by operational volume.

Citipost Mail’s deputy managing director, Lesley Yeomans, says: “This Platinum accreditation is a powerful endorsement of the culture our people have built together.

“Our philosophy has always been to invest in our people and give them the trust, support, and opportunities to grow. The assessor feedback confirms that this approach is embedded across the business, and I’m incredibly proud of what our team continues to achieve.”

Yeomans joined Citipost Mail in 2011 as head of client experience, progressing through the business to become deputy managing director in 2019. Citipost points to her rise to executive leadership as demonstrating how the business “develops and empowers talent.”

A statement from Citipost following the Platinum accreditation states that Yeoman has played a pivotal role in transforming the company from an operationally-focused organisation into “a truly customer-centric business” which is “driving innovation and strengthening employee engagement.”
