In honour of International Women’s Day on Saturday March 8th, inkjet paper and canvas specialist, PermaJet, has launched a new campaign celebrating female role-models in the print industry.

Permajet’s campaign, titled: ‘A Celebration of Women in Print’, is dedicated to recognising and amplifying the voices of women in the print and photography industries.

Throughout March, stories and insights will be shared on PermaJet’s YouTube channel, blog site, and social media platforms as part of the campaign.

On Permajet’s YouTube channel, viewers will be able to watch a panel discussion between PermaJet and members of SheClicks, a community organisation for female photographers. The discussion explores the importance of the organisation’s community and its impact on women in the photography industry.

On the company’s blog, a piece will be shared by Adele Warner-Tate, founder of the ‘Women in Seascape’ initiative which encourages women on Instagram to share their photographs inspired by the sea and coast. In the article, Warner-Tate discusses her journey in building Women in Seascape into a supportive community.

Finally, a series of social media posts from PermaJet will shine a light on female-led businesses making waves in the print and photography industries.

Speaking of the campaign, Charlie Kelsall, PermaJet social strategy manager, says: “The worlds of print and photography are historically male-dominated industries, with women often facing barriers to entry and less recognition for their contributions.

“However, we are witnessing a wave of female-led initiatives that are actively encouraging and empowering women to enter and thrive in these fields.”

Discussing the importance of the cause for Permajet, Kelsall continues: “As a business with strong female representation, we believe it is our responsibility and privilege to shine a spotlight on women in print and photography, championing their achievements and amplifying their voices.

“By doing so, we hope to inspire the next generation of women creators while challenging outdated norms and building a more equitable industry for all.”
