Reuseabox announced as awards finalist

Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire-based business Reuseabox, a provider of re-distributed packaging boxes, has been chosen as a finalist for the Net Hero award at The Small Awards, organised by Small Business Britain.

The awards ceremony which is in its eighth year is a nationwide search for the small and best firms in the UK across various business sectors.

Reuseabox, which was awarded B Corp certification last year, has committed itself to reducing waste and carbon emissions by providing businesses with a way to minimise packaging and waste.

Selected as one of eight finalists for the Net Hero Award for best sustainability-focused business, Reuseabox feels the nomination is a great example of its commitment to a more circular economy.

Jack Good, founder of the company, says: “Being selected as a finalist for Britain's best Net Hero business at The Small Awards is a testament to our unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability.

The awards are judged by a panel of industry experts with all winners being announced at an awards ceremony in London on May 16th, 2024.

Small Business Britain champions, inspires, and accelerates the nation’s 5.5 million small firms and celebrates the “dynamism and resilience” of the UK’s small business sector.

Recently Reuseabox has continued to expand its business with two new account managers, Tom Spencer and Alicia Anderson.

Both Spencer and Anderson have experience within the B2B sectors and will be playing crucial roles in supporting the company’s existing customers and assisting clients in finding the best boxes for reuse.

Speaking about joining the team, Spencer says: "I love the ideals and purpose of Reuseabox and I wanted a job where could I make a difference. Plus, I saw that Reggie, the office dog, was listed as Barketing Manager on the website and knew this was the place for me!”

The appointments come after the company has gained big contracts with the likes of Hovis, Yeo Valley, and a large nationwide distribution company.

Anderson adds: "I wanted to get my foot in the door within the environmental industry and have the opportunity to connect and grow with a more purpose-driven company. What I love about Reuseabox is that we’re actively giving back to the planet."

The Small Awards will be held at St Mary’s church in London which will host a night of entertainment, inspiration, and celebration for many of the UK’s small businesses.
