Humidification manufacturer, Condair, has launched the Condair Vita, its next-generation direct-room spray humidifier for the print and packaging sectors.

The Condair Vita is an adiabatic system combining a high-pressure pump station with water treatment options and a wide choice of spray heads. It is designed to offer a flexible configuration which allows it to control humidity across the varied needs of medium to large production halls.

The new solution has been developed to tackle the essential humidity needs of print and packaging manufacturing, helping to prevent substrates from drying out, changing dimensions, or causing mis-feeds or machinery jams, as well as preventing static buildup.

At the heart of the Condair Vita is a high-pressure pump and water treatment station available in capacities of 100, 300, and 500kg/h. It can be configured with integrated reverse osmosis, UV water sterilisation, deionisation, and CO2 water conditioning technologies. These options, which can ensure reliable germ-free, demineralised water supply, can be tailored to meet project-specific requirements.

Condair Vita spray heads can be wall or ceiling-mounted, are developed to be quiet in operation, and incorporate a fan to rapidly disperse the aerosol. Five spray head models offer a range of output capacities from 1.5 to 52kg/h, with the smallest system designed for offices spaces and the largest suited to factories and warehouses.

An additional Condair Vita Line distribution system offers a series of high-pressure nozzles mounted along a pipeline, each operating without a fan or electrical connection.

The number of nozzles is reportedly unlimited and can provide even humidity distribution across wide spaces, making the Vita Line suitable for very large production environments where electrical connections for individual spray heads may not be practical.

As the Condair Vita operates independently of an air handling unit, it is also suited for both new installations and retrofit projects. Its high-pressure spray humidifiers consume much less energy than comparable steam humidifiers, with a 100kg/h system needing less than 2kW of electricity.

The energy needed to evaporate the water comes from the air, which results in an evaporative cooling effect. This “free” cooling can be very beneficial in production environments and equates to around 68kW of cooling for every 100kg of humidity.

Jordan Stevens, sales manager at Condair, says: “With Condair Vita, we have combined our expertise in humidification, water treatment, and controls to deliver an efficient, hygienic, and flexible solution. Its configurable options make its suitable for any sized print or packaging production hall. The Condair Vita provides reliable humidity with the required water quality, exactly how and where it is needed.”

The Condair Vita also offers the latest IoT and BMS connectivity, enabling remote monitoring and control by in-house facilities teams or directly by Condair. Stevens adds: “This new generation of manufacturer-connected humidifier gives customers confidence that their system is performing correctly and supports maintenance only when required, improving both performance and operating costs.”
