Digital Printing Systems UK will make its debut at The Print Show this year to demonstrate new inkjet solutions

Digital Printing Systems UK (DPS) will make its debut at The Print Show this year, using the event to demonstrate the new IGS Cobalt 800 single pass inkjet printer.
An innovation from International Graphics Supplies (IGS) and China’s Antel Holding, the machine has been designed to address the short- to medium-run packaging and point-of-sale markets.
Featuring the HP FI1000 inkjet printhead, the device allows users to print at three different resolutions. This includes a maximum speed of 32m/min at 1200dpi x 300dpi for high-speed production 16m/min at 1200dpi x 600dpi for balanced speed and quality, and 8m/min at 1200dpi x 1200dpi for premium print detail.
“Our aim for this year’s show is purely about brand awareness,” says DPS managing director Will Doherty, adding: “We want to make sure that UK printers know who we are, what we do, how we differ from our competitors and how to find us when they need us.
“We have a very consultative approach to our business with our key goal of helping our clients improve their situation, and that looks different for each client. It’s clear that digital technology is the future of our industry and our job is to help our clients make informed decisions on the best fit technology for their business.”
As well as showcasing new inkjet technology in partnership with IGS, Doherty says that the company will also be having “open and honest conversations” about the industry as a whole and what the future of digital printing technology looks like. DPS will also host some existing clients on the stand, allowing potential customers to speak directly with them about their experience of working with DPS.
“Since its launch, The Print Show has always been the go-to event for printing industry professionals to see the latest innovations in print and finishing technology and network with industry professionals,” Doherty says.
