Epson has announced the release of the SureColor P7300 and P9300 photo printers which are designed for the retail the photography, graphics, and fine art markets

Epson has announced the launch of two new high-end photo printer presses, the SureColor P7300 and P9300.
The 24-inch P7300 and 44-inch P9300, which operate with a maximum resolution of 2,400 x 1,200dpi, are designed to meet the needs of the retail photography, graphics, signage, and fine art markets. The new models join the 17-inch SC-P5300, completing Epson's line-up of printers tailored to the needs of professional photographers.
The P7300 and P9300 feature significant upgrades to Epson’s previously released P6000 and P8000 models, including faster printing speeds. The solutions are fitted with Epson’s latest 2.64in PrecisionCore printhead, designed to ensure exceptional image quality.
The new SureColor models incorporate a ten-colour UltraChrome PRO10 ink set which includes a violet channel and dedicated photo black (PK) and matte black (MK) nozzles, available in 350ml and 700ml cartridges.
The ink set has been developed to enhance the colour gamut and black density through its Black Enhance Overcoat technology, aiming to result in richer blacks and improved contrast, especially in dark blue shades.
The two new models come equipped with a 4.3inch optical touchscreen designed to simplify navigation, as well as a ‘dustproof’ structure to prevent contamination ingress.
Usability enhancements include the integration of Epson’s cloud printer management solution, PORT, designed for remote monitoring, as well as a spindle-less roll adaptor, and a front operation mechanism for easy maintenance.
Both machines utilise Epson’s Edge Print PRO RIP software solution and are compatible with third-party RIP software, with the aim of facilitating seamless professional printing workflows.
Marc Boehmer, product manager (Photo & Proof Large-Format Print) at Epson Europe, says: “We are delighted to introduce the SC-P9300 and SC-P7300 to the market as they offer unparalleled quality, productivity, and efficiency for a range of professionals in retail photography and fine art.
“With the addition of the two new P-Series printers, we now provide a complete range of professional ten-colour photo printers, including violet, empowering users to produce stunning images and proofs that meet the highest standards.”
The SC-P9300 and SC-P7300 will be available for purchase from the beginning of August, and showcased on the Epson stand at the FESPA Global Print Expo in Berlin from May 6th to 9th. Further details and specifications will be accessible on the Epson website and through authorised retailers.
