Print Monthly speaks to Jennifer Pennington at Hunkeler Innovationdays 2023c
At the recent Hunkeler Innovationdays 2023, Kodak showcased its latest high-speed digital production printing and end-to-end workflow management. The centrepiece of the Kodak booth was the new KODAK PROSPER ULTRA 520.
In our latest Print7 video we speak to Jennifer Pennington, paper scientist and director of product management & OEM partnerships at Kodak, who tells us about the latest press and its place at Hunkeler Innovationdays 2023.
“The response [to the launch of the ULTRA 520 press] has been fantastic, we’ve had a lot of interest in the technology, people are excited to see Kodak back at the Hunkeler show and we’re excited to be here.”
At the show Kodak presented a roll-to-roll configuration where the PROSPER ULTRA 520 was integrated with a Hunkeler UW8 unwinder and RW8 rewinder as well as the Hunkeler W18 web inspection system.
The set up allowed visitors to see printed ‘magalogs’, a combination of a magazine and catalogue, that demonstrated the demanding applications that the PROSPER ULTRA 520 can cover.
The inkjet web press uses KODAK ULTRASTREAM Continuous Inkjet Technology to offer high offset-quality print at highs speeds with great application flexibility and potential profitability.
