SCREEN Graphic Solutions (SCREEN) has released its new Truepress JET 520NX AD, the next generation of its JET 520NX roll-fed inkjet digital printing system.

The Truepress JET series is designed for high-mix, small-lot production, with major users including the transaction, direct mail, and publishing markets.

SCREEN released its first Truepress JET 520NX in 2016, with several iterations arriving in subsequent years. The latest Truepress JET 520NX AD now boasts a reported maximum print speed of 225m/min.

Its ‘Xross-over’ printhead configuration is designed to allow for additional flexibility and expandability. The unique printhead design, which handles both monochrome and full colour printing, allows CYM printheads to be ‘parked’ when printing mono, to reduce ink consumption.

An extra printhead can be installed adjacent to the other printheads to handle MICR and other specific function inks.

According to SCREEN, major improvements have also been made to the efficiency of its pre-print adjustment work, with the aim of improving overall productivity. Optional functions include the full error scanning of all parts of pages in a job with its JetInspection scanning and inspection system.

The system is also equipped with an automatic nozzle cleaning function that reduces operator workloads, as well as an advanced nozzle control function that provides additional quality correction.

The machine’s throughput is supported by its Truepress NP inks, a range of high-density, water-based pigment inks developed to enable faster output.

SCREEN has made sustainability a core focus with the efficiency improvements of its machines, as part of its ongoing commitment to “enriching lives and continuing to make the world more colourful through print.”

SCREEN plans to unveil the system for the first time with an interactive exhibit at Hunkeler Innovationdays 2025, which will be held from February 24th to 27th in Lucerne, Switzerland.

As well as the Truepress JET series, SCREEN’s solutions include the Truepress LABEL - UV and Low Migration inkjet label presses, the Truepress PAC sheet-fed and web-fed inkjet presses, the Equios workflow system, a range of RIPs, and several platesetters.

This month, SCREEN also launched the latest data sharing workflow solution which connects its Equios and MultiFlow automation flows, part of a long-term collaboration with technology company Dataline.

The new Multipress solution aims to provide a comprehensive, one stop overview of printing operations, integrating file preparation checks, and communication with pre- and post-press machines.

The solution will also be demonstrated at Hunkeler Innovationdays, showcased with live demonstrations on the newly released JET 520NX AD as well as the Truepress JET 560HDX.
