Provider of digital print technology, Xeikon, has announced details of a new entry to its Panther portfolio of printers with the release of the Xeikon PX3300HD digital press.

Developed for high-quality labels, the five-colour machine is a 1,200dpi digital press which offer a 330mm printing width and speeds of up to 70m/min, even when printing with high opacity white.

The press is advertised as a small footprint machine which covers up to 88% of Pantone colours within Delta E 2 (rising to 94% within Delta E 3).

To meet specific resolution requirements Xeikon has developed the new PX-Cure LED HD inks to ensure better curing and sustainability benefits.

Jeroen Van Bauwel, director of Solution Design at Xeikon, says: “As inkjet technology continues to mature, there’s a clear need to update Xeikon’s Panther portfolio with a higher resolution option to meet specific customer requests.

Consequently, we’re now introducing a 1,200dpi engine to complement the existing 600dpi product range.

“The new Xeikon PX3300HD will extend the capabilities for printers by giving them the tools to reach excellent quality at even higher productivity levels in a TCO-friendly way (Total Cost of Ownership).”

The press is described as being “fully prepared” for hybrid printing with the option add Xeikon’s modular inline label converting units and a large unwinder for longer uninterrupted production runs.

Drupa 2024 will take place from May 28th to June 7th in the Dusseldorf Exhibition Centre, Germany.
