Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) will expand its relationship with Cancer Research UK by widening its volunteering and fundraising programme.

Having recently entered the second year of its partnership with the charity, the company marked the occasion by setting out some of the activities it has planned over the next 12 months.

These include two major walks, the first of which was a London Royal Parks 7‑Mile Walk, which took place on 17th June. Later this year, several members of the team will also take part in The Konica Minolta Ultra Walk.

The two events will sit alongside additional volunteering opportunities, internal awareness campaigns and new engagement initiatives that Konica Minolta Business Solutions has in the pipeline.

“Our partnership with Cancer Research UK has brought colleagues together with a shared purpose,” says Gillian Nuttall, ESG partner at Konica Minolta Business Solutions, adding: “Over the past year we’ve seen teams across the business step up, get active and raise money for a cause that touches so many lives.

“As we move into the second year of our partnership, we’re committed to doing even more – supporting our people, strengthening our communities and helping fund research that makes a real difference.”

Year two of the partnership builds on a successful first 12 months. Employees have taken part in challenges such as the ‘Walk 30 Miles in November’ initiative, team fundraising events, and awareness‑building campaigns across the organisation.

More recently, the company supported a long-running community football event at the Milton Keynes Dons Stadium on 30th May.

The ticketed event, which also raised funds for Candlelighters, an organisation that supports children with cancer and their families, featured a team of ‘old boys’ who have played together for decades. Several players, supporters and families connected to the teams have been personally affected by cancer.

As part of its support, Konica Minolta Business Solutions organised and funded an internal raffle, with 100% of proceeds going directly to Cancer Research UK.

“Our employees care deeply about supporting families affected by cancer, and their passion is what drives our charity partnership forward,” Nuttall comments.

“We’re incredibly proud to stand alongside the local community, Cancer Research UK and Candlelighters to help raise awareness and vital funds for causes that matter to so many of our colleagues and customers.”
