Konica Minolta has launched the new AccurioPress C8100 Series, a mid-production print press designed to combine high-level automation, real-time sensing, and autonomous optimisation to allow for adaptation while production is running.
Dubbed ‘The Intelligent Press’, the C8100 Series caters to commercial printers, in-plants, print rooms, and offset users moving into digital production.
The series, which also includes the AccurioPress C8090, aims to do more than simply update its predecessor, the AccurioPress C7100 platform. Instead, it signals a more advanced, ‘new-generation’ approach by Konica Minolta towards intelligent production.
The latest AccurioPress has been developed with changing market demands in mind, offering adaptive technologies designed to combat tighter order deadlines, rising performance expectations, and a growing worldwide skills shortage.
The new print series, which reportedly prints at up to 100 A4 sheets per minute, incorporates several advanced sensors that can enable autonomous printing, while new options can further support colour processing adjustment, automated adjustment print quality, and paper detection.
Like much of the AccurioPress series, the C8100 utilises Konica Minolta’s proprietary Simitri HD toner, which offers particles that are substantially smaller, smoother, and more uniform in shape than conventional toner technology.
The uniformity of the Simitri toner particles mean that the printer can reproduce finer halftones, clearer dots, and sharper text than many comparable methods.

“Moving far beyond conventional automation into intelligent automation, it represents a new category by establishing the Konica Minolta Intelligent Press – one that combines AI, continuous real-time sensing, and autonomous optimisation to sense, decide, and adapt while production is running with minimal operator intervention.”
Konica Minolta Business Solutions UK also recently reinforced its two‑decade partnership with fellow print manufacturer, Epson, by expanding the range of Epson wide‑format print technologies now available for live demonstration at its UK Client Engagement Centre (CEC) in Dunstable.
The enhanced showcase includes two flagship Epson devices, namely Epson’s latest 64in eco‑solvent printer, the SureColor S9100, and the SureColor T5700DM wide-format device.
Both devices are now fully installed within the CEC, enabling UK customers to test real‑world jobs, explore media options, and evaluate output quality in a working production environment.
