The litho and digital print company has expanded the business with new kit and workspace

Micropress, a litho and digital printing company, has announced it has invested £3.5m in the business in order to keep broadening its offerings to customers.
The Suffolk-based business specialises in solutions for publishing, direct mail, and advertising media such as brochures and leaflets. Micropress currently employs around 180 people and has generated sales of around £30m in 2023.
The latest investment has meant an extension to Micropress’ existing site which joins the paper warehouse and main factory together, giving the company an extra 1,600sq m of operating space.
In addition to the extension, the company has purchased new kit such as a Canon IX3200 Inkjet Press as well as a Horizon CABS4000V, an automated machine that significantly increases short run binding capacity and is due to be installed in Spring 2024.
The company’s new kit also includes an additional automated TH 82-P Stahlfolder due to be delivered this month with potential plans to also invest in a complimentary automated stack-down system.
Joint managing director for the company, Robert Cross, comments: “After six months of construction, the new site is just about complete. The floor is down, and the building is watertight. There is still some work to do on the internals but most importantly we have done enough so that we are ready to take delivery of some new equipment arriving in January”.
The new building has been made to house its new short-run division as well as add additional manufacturing space for storage and fulfilment.
Cross adds: “We are seeing more customers who want a solution and not just a printer so it is important we can accommodate this with a dedicated area that is properly set up.
“We are thrilled to announce this substantial investment, which reflects our commitment to providing printing solutions to our valued customers”.
