Print training provider, Learn2print, has recognised Coveris as Apprentice Employer of the Year for its scheme which provides jobs and qualifications to young people

Packaging manufacturer Coveris has been recognised as Apprentice Employer of the Year by printing training provider, Learn2print.
The award, sponsored by print press manufacturer HEIDELBERG, was presented to Coveris for its label printing apprenticeship programme, which the company runs across its sites in Boston, Cramlington, and Spalding.
Delivered in collaboration with Learn2print, the apprenticeship scheme combines monthly classes led by experienced tutors with hands-on practical training, supported by dedicated mentors at Coveris.
The apprenticeship, which includes equipping apprentices with nationally recognised qualifications, offers three specialist pathways – pre-press, print, and finishing – all of which lead to Level 2 and 3 Print Technician qualifications.
Five Coveris apprentices are set to finish the Print Technician apprenticeship this year, with the scheme aiming to provide the skills, knowledge, and behaviour required for a thriving career in print.
Four other apprentices have successfully gone through all stages of the same programme and are now established Coveris employees.
Jon Bray, managing director of Learn2print, says: “With its forward-thinking training strategy, Coveris has demonstrated a strong commitment to developing future talent for the print and packaging industry.
“The Apprentice Employer of the Year Award recognises this dedication to preparing the next generation of print professionals with the skills and standards needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving sector."
Michaela Van Noordt, head of HR at Coveris’ Paper Business Unit, adds: “We are delighted and proud to have been awarded the Learn2print Apprentice Employer of the Year.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of our talented apprentices, the guidance of our committed mentors, the contribution of our HR and recruitment teams, and our close partnership with Learn2print.”
Those wishing to apply for Coveris’ apprenticeship scheme have been encouraged to apply on the careers section of the Coveris website.
