Permajet releases new range of print materials
Paper and canvas manufacturer, Permajet, has released the Production Range of printable materials, featuring 11 surfaces
Premier used its stand at The Print Show to launch new products and educate visitors about its portfolio of materials
Diversified materials supplier Premier Paper Group has reported another successful appearance at The Print Show 2024, using its presence at the event to focus on innovation and sustainability across its portfolio of solutions.
A regular exhibitor at the show, Premier returned once again this year, taking a large stand at the front of Hall 17 at the NEC in Birmingham.
Among the highlights at Premier’s stand was its eTEC AIR Bubble Board, a new polypropylene bubble board from Premier Display Graphics. Featuring a bubble core and two smooth bright white surfaces, the product is designed for use in signage, point-of-sale displays, and exhibition panels.
Premier also placed a spotlight on its expanding creative papers range, which now includes the myCordenons range, by paper manufacturer Fedrigoni. The myCordenons collection features an array of surfaces, weights, formats, and colours, with the aim of providing versatility for users.
Brad Goldsmith, marketing manager at Premier, spoke to Print Monthly during the event. Speaking of the value the expo brings, Goldsmith said: “The Print Show as always is an important part of Premier’s calendar.
“It’s a perfect platform to liaise with customers and suppliers alike, talk about the latest innovations, and the latest substrates and medias to be printed on. This year, just like every other year, has just been a fantastic one for us.”
Visitors to The Print Show also had the chance to learn more about solutions from Premier’s other divisions including digital, self-adhesive materials, board, packaging, lamination films, and office papers. A range of demonstrative swatches, product guides, and printed samples were available at show.
On top of this, Premier reported significant interest in its Carbon Capture program, which, run in partnership with the Woodland Trust, allows Premier customers to capture carbon from the products they purchase, contributing to the preservation and growth of woodlands in the UK.
Speaking about the company's sustainability goals, Goldsmith commented: “Sustainability has been another massive talking point. I think it’s a standard now across all industries.
“When we’re looking to source our products, we focus quite a bit on what the environmental credentials of those products are, and the integrity of the supply chain. Then we look at any other ways that we can add more value to the sustainability. That might be through carbon capture, or other similar aspects to the product.
“By making sure that we’ve ticked all the right boxes in terms of environmental credentials, we can more easily align the products with the values of our customers.”
Premier’s commitment to sustainability was further emphasised by Brad West, director of wide-format media UK & Ireland, who took part in the ‘Fostering Sustainable Waste Management' session put together by FESPA UK Assocation at The Knowledge Zone.
In an official statement, Premier says: “As sustainability continues to take centre stage in the print industry, Premier remains at the forefront, driving innovation and environmental stewardship across all sectors.”
