Catapult Print, a family-owned printing and packaging company headquartered in Orlando, Florida, has announced that it achieved a $60m (£50m) turnover milestone in 2024.

The company’s $60m turnover follows two consecutive months of record sales in Q4 of 2024.

In October, Catapult achieved a reported 25% increase on revenue as compared to October 2023, 5.8% more than the company’s previous best ever month. This revenue was then increased further in November.

Catapult has reportedly onboarded more than 80 new customers in 2024, while maintaining a customer retention rate of 98%.

In a statement about the results, the company says: “In a market that contracted by 20% during 2024, Catapult grew by 40% thanks to the company’s ability to deliver dramatically reduced lead times, unbeatable quality and reliability, and low pricing.”

Catapult was established six years ago by British packaging professional Mark Cook, alongside his sons Lewis and Ashley Cook.

With over 30 years of experience in the print and packaging industries, Mark previously worked for Paragon Print and Packaging, including as a company shareholder.

Mark moved to the US in 2013, first working as group sales director for global packaging agency Equator Design before launching Catapult in 2018.

Speaking of the achievement, Mark comments: “Alongside our continued focus on delivering faster, better, and at a lower cost for our customers, we have invested in capacity, efficiency, and systems to equip us for further growth in the year ahead.

“Our aim is to provide the same exceptional service to every customer, whether they have been with us since day one, or joined us yesterday.

“I am confident that with the investments we have made, in machinery, technology, people and systems, we have kept pace with demand for our services and are continuing to innovate to provide the service our customers deserve and the transformation our industry needs.”

Following the $60m milestone, Catapult will focus on increasing capacity in 2025 as the company targets further growth, aiming to reach a turnover of $70m (£58m) by the end of 2025.

The company began 2025 with an investment in new machinery to scale up its label division.

Catapult purchased a second Com 500 Coater machine, ordered from UK label technology provider, Ravenwood Packaging, with the aim of enabling Catapult to double its production capacity.

The Com 500 linerless label coating machine allows for the simultaneous application of pressure sensitive adhesive and UV curable silicone lacquer. It offers reported coating speeds up to 130 m/minute.

The machine’s adhesive pre-melting and delivery system allows for to up to 12 slot heads with screw adjustments for glue stripe widths. It can accommodate variable line widths from 3mm to 45mm, and slits and rewinds multiple lanes into finished reels in a single pass.

The latest Com 500 also includes a new laser micrometer, designed to allow for enhanced glue weight specifications.

Alongside the new coater, Catapult is also investing in an additional rewind machine, an Opal turret slitter rewinder supplied by Ashe Converting Equipment.
