Quadient has built a new automation solution for direct mail provider, Send and Receive, which streamlines print, finishing, personalisation, and throughput into a single workflow
Global machinery and automation solutions provider, Quadient, has announced a new technology partnership with UK print and mail provider, Send and Receive, which combines inline envelope printing, a DS-1200 G4iQ folder inserter, Impress software, and an automated insertion management system (AIMS) to streamline the company’s direct mail output.
This deployment, which builds on a long-standing partnership between the companies, helps Send and Receive increase production capacity, streamline workflows, and strengthen compliance through integrated, closed-loop verification.
Based in Milton Keynes, Send and Receive provides multi-channel communications services spanning print, mailing, postage, and digital delivery. With over 15 years as a Quadient customer, the company introduced the new solution to meet growing demand and address operational constraints, including limitations with a competitor's folder inserter.
Due to legacy systems operating at maximum capacity, growth for Send and Receive was restricted and onboarding new clients proved challenging. Additionally, fragmented workflows between envelope printing and mail insertion led to inefficiencies, with the lack of system integration hindering closed-loop verification and increasing compliance risks.
By implementing Quadient’s DS-1200 G4i folder inserter alongside AIMS and Impress software, Send and Receive has now consolidated multiple processes into a single, streamlined workflow. Inline envelope printing further reduces manual handling and is designed to eliminate the need for standalone systems.
The integrated solution also allows for closed-loop verification, ensuring more document accuracy, supporting GDPR compliance, and improving throughput and operational efficiency.
