Mimaki Europe was recently presented with three EDP Awards for its print solutions, winning prizes including Best Flatbed/Hybrid Printer (under 50 sq m/h), Best Direct-to-Shape/Object Printer, and Best Textile Roll-to-Roll Printer.

Launched in 2007 by the European Digital Press Association, the annual EDP Awards are designed to demonstrate excellence in the field of digital printing, publishing, and packaging. The winners of the 2026 Awards were announced on May 20th at FESPA Global Print Expo in Barcelona.

The first of Mimaki’s three wins was for the UJ330H-160, the company’s latest hybrid UV inkjet printer developed for sign-makers and print service providers (PSPs) looking to expand their application range without adding separate systems.

Combining roll-to-roll and rigid board printing in a single platform, the UJ330H-160 supports applications from signage, window graphics, and banners to wallpaper, point-of-sale (POS) displays, and rigid boards.

Mimaki’s UJF-7151 plusII e direct-to-object (DTO) printer also won an award this year. The printer combines high-resolution UV-LED output with the ability to print directly onto a wide range of objects and materials, supporting applications from promotional items and packaging to industrial parts and personalisation.

The UJF-7151 plusII e has also been developed to handle complex surfaces and objects, including cylindrical items with optional accessories.

Completing the trio, the TS330-1800 was recognised in the textile roll-to-roll printing category. Designed for sublimation textile and apparel production, the press offers a wide print area and ink configurations that support applications ranging from fashion and sportswear to soft signage, interiors, and promotional products.

The TS330-1800 also allows for extended colour possibilities in comparison to previous models with dedicated orange, violet, and fluorescent ink channels.

In addition, the press offers stable media handling, fast changeover between roll and rigid production, and UV capabilities including white, clear, and multi-layer printing up to five layers.

Danna Drion, general manager for marketing and product management at Mimaki Europe, who accepted the awards on behalf of Mimaki, says: “Winning three EDP Awards is a significant recognition of the technical excellence of our innovations – but above all, we’re proud of what these technologies enable our customers to achieve.

“The UJ330H-160 is a great example of this: innovation developed around real production needs. Print businesses are looking for flexibility, quality, and a smarter use of space and investment. By bringing roll and rigid UV printing together in one accessible system, the UJ330H-160 gives them more ways to say yes to new work.”

All three award-winning presses are available for demonstrations at the showroom of Mimaki's UK and Ireland distributor, Hybrid Services.

Andy Gregory, sales director at Hybrid Services, adds: “Receiving accolades across three core business areas is a significant recognition of Mimaki’s continued innovation and development. Businesses looking to investigate these best-in-class products further can contact Hybrid directly or through their reseller.”
