Full Spectrum, a Basildon-based printer whose client roster includes companies in the travel, fashion, lifestyle, and luxury retail sectors, has made a dual investment by installing a Titanium 2516 digital CAD cutting table and Platinum 1325 UV printer, both supplied by International Graphic Supplies (IGS).

The dual purchase was made as part of Full Spectrum’s strategic growth goals for 2026, with the aim of accelerating its expansion into the packaging and wide-format sectors.

Full Spectrum was introduced to the IGS product range through a long-standing relationship with Managed Technology, a UK-based technology solutions provider specialising in industrial production printing.

The Titanium cutter and Platinum printer were first demonstrated to Full Spectrum at a site visit to an existing IGS customer, which was facilitated by Managed Technology.

Commenting on the thinking behind the purchase, Kevin Walker, managing director at Full Spectrum, says: “One of our goals for 2026 is to continue to expand our portfolio of packaging and wide-format services.

“It was therefore vital that we acquired highly precise and complementary machinery. The demonstration of the Platinum UV printer and the Titanium cutter working together at a live site was crucial. Through consultation, we focused on the Platinum 1325 and the Titanium 2516 Conveyor model with router to achieve our vision.”

According to IGS, the Platinum 1325 printer provides direct-to-substrate printing capabilities that allow for flexible use in both wide-format and packaging, with the ability to print on media types including wood, density board, glass, metal, sheet, chevron board, PVC, acrylic plate, and ceramic tiles.

The Titanium 2516 Conveyor model, which is designed to work in tandem with the Platinum printer, will now serve as Full Spectrum’s primary finishing solution, utilising its 2.5m x 1.6m cutting bed and conveyor belt system.

The Titanium 2516 includes tools such as a router for cutting rigid materials including Dibond and Acrylic, drag knife and creasing wheel tools for rapid packaging prototyping and production, an oscillating knife for handling heavier substrates like corrugated boards and Foamex, and a kiss cutting tool for labels and stickers.

Peter Flynn, managing director at IGS, says: “Full Spectrum has the highest reputation for print precision and quality.

“Having listened to their [Walker and the team's] dual requirements for both printing and finishing high-end, bespoke applications, we felt the Platinum 1325 and the Titanium 2516 were the perfect combination. The Platinum with Ricoh Gen 6 printheads delivers the quality print, and the Titanium provides the essential precision cutting, creasing, and routing needed for their market.”

The company has noted a series of benefits across the business since installing the two machines in October. Walker explains: “The Platinum 1325 working in tandem with the Titanium 2516 has already allowed us to offer a wider, innovative range of packaging prototypes, both for existing and new customers.

“The combined efficiency means we can satisfy short-run cut, crease, and kiss-cutting productions, which complements our small-format digital capabilities.”

In addition, the Titanium’s drag knife has allowed operators at Full Spectrum to cut Heidelberg litho coating blankets in order to create intricate varnish areas.
