HP is using Hunkeler Innovationdays 2025 to demonstrate a range of new updates to its Indigo and PageWide press ranges

HP has unveiled a range of its latest advancements at this year’s Hunkeler Innovationdays.
The print manufacturer has used the 15th edition of the bi-annual trade show, which is taking place in Lucerne, Switzerland until February 27th, to introduce solutions across its HP Indigo and HP PageWide portfolio.
Among the presses on show will be the HP PageWide T4250 HDR and T500M HD presses, which are making their trade show debut after being launched earlier this month.
HP has used Hunkeler Innovationdays to announce its first beta customer of the T4250 HDR, digital printing platform SG360. Kevin Hughes, chief operations officer of SG360 USA, has already spoken about the benefits of the new PageWide presses, saying: “We are thoroughly pleased with the exceptional productivity and print quality of the newly installed T4250 press.
“Given the trust we have built with HP as a strong technology partner, we see the 42-inch platform as providing leading productivity and economics to expand our digital footprint and customer offerings.”
A new configuration for the HP PageWide Advantage 2200 is also being demonstrated in Lucerne aiming to provide a cost-effective, flexible solution to expand commercial printing applications while optimising the total cost of print.
The new configuration features a single-zone drying system and a passive web cooling module, allowing customers to print mono and full color jobs efficiently across a wide range of uncoated and coated applications.
Other live demonstrations include a showcase of what HP has labelled its fastest end-to-end book production line. The demonstration presents 750 fully finished books, printed from blank sheets and rolls using HP’s Intelligent Automation ecosystem.
HP Indigo’s next generation of sustainable consumable supplies are also on show. The new consumables line, labelled a “breakthrough” by the company, is designed to enhance productivity, reduce waste and CO2 emissions, and reduce operator workload while maintaining the HP Indigo’s print quality.
Reported advancements of the consumables package include a higher ink solid concentration, a new Printing Imaging Plate (PIP+), and a Regenerated Imaging Oil (RIO) in-press recycling system for the ink carrier.
Speaking about the new solutions, Haim Levit, senior vice president and division president at HP Industrial, says: “HP is redefining the future of commercial printing through automation, efficiency, and seamless integration—empowering businesses with smarter, faster, and more adaptive solutions.
“Our commitment lies in equipping customers with cutting-edge technology, providing that every print job is executed with precision, reliability, and scalability. By standardising intelligent automation across our portfolio of presses, we are not just enhancing operational efficiency but also setting new benchmarks for quality and innovation in the industry.”
