Managed print company, Apogee, will be the lead sponsor of a charity mud run which raises money for a local NHS trust

Managed print solutions provider, Apogee, has been announced as the lead sponsor of the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust (MTW) charity mud run.
The charity event, dubbed ‘Get Muddy for MTW’, is taking place on Saturday October 4th, challenging participants to complete a 90-minute run through a purpose-built muddy obstacle course at Nuclear Wild Forest in Brentwood, Essex.
The mud run will help to raise funds for MTW, with donations helping to ensure the patients of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells hospitals continue to receive quality care. The event is open to all participants aged 13 and over.
Claire Ashby, head of charity and fundraising at MTW, says: "We are grateful to Apogee for sponsoring our second large fundraising event.
“Last year, with the support of Apogee, our abseil challenge raised an incredible £43,000, which has helped to fund a range of initiatives at MTW for the benefit of our patients and staff. We hope that this year's ‘Get Muddy for MTW’ event will be just as successful, offering an unforgettable day for participants and further improvements for our patients."
Gary Day, director of public sector at Apogee, adds: “As a business headquartered in Maidstone, we are passionate about giving back to our local community.
“The work of the MTW Hospitals Charity is vital, and we’re proud to play a role in helping raise funds that will directly benefit patients and staff. It’s a fantastic event that brings people together for a great cause, and we can’t wait to be part of it.”
The sponsorship is part of Apogee’s wider goals to support local communities and charitable organisations.
An advent calendar initiative by Apogee last year raised £4,300 for Dementia UK, with the funds raised used to support services including the charity’s dementia-specialised nurses, known as admiral nurses.
Apogee also sponsors sports clubs and institutions local to both its Maidstone headquarters and its national operations centre in Lincoln, including League One football club, Lincoln City FC.
The managed print services company has previously supported charities including Action for Children, The Royal Marines Charity, TeensUnite, and Rethink Mental Illness through company-organised campaigns and sponsored events.
