Print media platform, Print Island, has announced a new communications initiative with PRINTING United Alliance, designed to educate about the Alliance’s various member schemes and offerings

Print Island, a recently launched print media platform claiming to be “the Spotify for print”, has announced a new initiative that it is launching with American print association, PRINTING United Alliance.
The new Alliance Communications initiative will see Print Island develop and deliver an ongoing communications programme designed to amplify awareness and engagement across the Alliance's key member-facing offerings.
Print Island will use its platform to promote PRINTING United’s G7+ Expert Certification, which is designed as an industry standard for consistent colour reproduction and print quality.
Print Island will communicate the value of the certification to print professionals, helping them understand the direct impact on production efficiency, cost savings, customer satisfaction, and alignment with global print standards.
As part of PRINTING United’s iLEARNING+ educational platform, Print Island will also help connect a wider audience of professionals to build credentials, master new skills, or help those breaking into the industry for the first time.
Print Island will additionally support the Alliance in communicating its suite of AI solutions, assessment services, and adoption guidance to members looking to harness recent technology shifts and stay ahead of the curve.
Rounding up the collaboration, Print Island will partner with PRINTING United during the upcoming PRINTING United Expo 2026, which will take place from September 23rd to 25th in Las Vegas, with further information to be announced in due course.
Richard Askam, co-founder of Print Island, says: "This is a further sign that what we are trying to do with Print Island is becoming hugely important to the industry in getting their message across to the next generation of printers. Print Island's goal to become the Spotify for print is working."
Print Monthly spoke to Askam about the launch of Print Island last year, discussing his goal for the platform and what it provides to the industry.
In that Q&A article, Askam asserted that Print Island’s goal was to be “made by printers, for printers,” with content that spoke “openly and honestly about the challenges and solutions that we all face and create.”
Speaking about the new initiative, Ford Bowers, chief executive officer of PRINTING United Alliance, adds: “We are excited to be working with Print Island, a new and influential voice in the printing industry that continues to highlight the growing appetite among printers to expand their knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies.
“Building on our increasing collaboration through areas like the Expo, the Alliance is pleased to amplify its extensive solutions through Print Island’s platform that help print service providers (PSPs) learn and move their businesses forward with relevant programmes and services suited to today’s evolving landscape.”
