UK-based online and commercial print specialists, Printed.com, has announced an upgrade to its labels and stickers division with the installation of a Titanium 330 R Digital Label Cutter and a Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230 Label Press.

The investment, facilitated by International Graphic Supplies (IGS), bolsters Printed.com’s existing finishing line, with the company already utilising two Titanium 2516 flatbed cutters for its wide-format print and packaging workflows.

Equipped with nine cutting blades working in tandem, the Titanium 330 R can reportedly achieve a 35% increase in production speed over previous models. The machine provides a complete end-to-end finishing solution, performing cold lamination, digital die-cutting, waste weeding, and slitting in a single pass.

Additional specialised slitting knives can also transform wide-web rolls into multiple individual finished label rolls, ready for immediate dispatch.

Peter Flynn, managing director of IGS, says: “We are delighted to support Printed.com once again as they expand their production capabilities.

“We have a long-standing relationship with the team and having seen the success they’ve achieved with their two existing Titanium 2516 flatbed cutters, so it was a natural progression to integrate the Titanium 330 R into their new label department. It’s a testament to the reliability and ROI that the Titanium range delivers.”

The Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230 Label Press offers a resolution of 1,200dpi at 8-bit depth, with features allowing for automated digital colour adjustments and varied, full-quality prints on a range of media with no pre-coating required.

The IGS-supplied cutter offers synergy with Printed.com’s new Konica Minolta digital press, with the system allowing for complex kiss-cut labels to be produced on demand.

David Duncan, production director at Printed.com, adds: “We are continuously investing in technology so our customers can achieve more with their branding.

“We have successfully transitioned these systems into full-scale production and the results speak for themselves. The output is consistently excellent, maintaining high-fidelity quality while stripping away the operational friction that typically hinders traditional label production."
