Finishing solutions manufacturer, Vivid, has announced the world’s first installation of its patented Razar digital die-cutting and finishing system at Bally Print in Northern Ireland.

The installation marks the debut of a new all-in-one finishing solution that combines raised UV printing, digital cutting, creasing, and taping within a single integrated system, reducing the need for multiple machines and streamlining production.

Bally Print is the first company globally to have the technology, following its official launch at The Print Show 2025, where Bally Print first saw the device.

Speaking about the purchase of the Razar, Aaron Klewchuk, director at Bally Print, says: “I can only describe our new Razar as the Swiss Army knife of print finishing. This is going to be massive for us.”

The Razar includes a cutter and creaser that can handle sheets up to B1 in size, with a range of cutting tools to cut or perforate roll and sheet media up to 5mm thick. An optional oscillating tool can also handle suitable media up to 10mm.

Other options include a kiss-cut tool and Vivid’s VeloTaper, which can apply double-sided adhesive tape for the closure of finished items without requiring spot gluing.

Lewis Evans, commercial director at Vivid, adds: “By bringing multiple processes together, we’re helping print businesses work faster, reduce handling, and unlock more creative applications. Partnering with Bally Print for this first installation was a natural fit.”

Ballyprint is a Northern Irish print provider specialising in litho, digital, and wide-format. It has majorly boosted its machinery lineup in recent years, having been the first company in the Irish region to purchase a Fujifilm Acuity Prime.

The company followed this up with the addition of a Fujifilm Revoria Press PC1120, which it purchased at The Print Show 2024.

A full breakdown of the Razar and what it offers to market can be found in Michael Walker’s Under the Hood feature for Print Monthly magazine, which is now available on our website.
