The Monmouthshire-based machinery supplier sold a Titanium 3121 to Hickling & Squires and a Titanium 2516 to Colour Banners

International Graphic Supplies (IGS), a Monmouthshire-based machinery supplier, has sold two Titanium cutters to clients Hickling & Squires and Colour Banners.
Hickling & Squires, a Nottingham-based wide-format litho printing company, purchased a Titanium 3121 cutting table to complement a Titanium 2516 which was previously purchased from IGS.
The 3121 digital cutter is designed for precision cutting of a wide range of substrates including paperboard, cardboard, PVC expansion sheet, thick foam, and acrylics. It has a reported speed of up to 1500mm/s, and a cutting thickness of up to 50mm.
Production director at Hickling & Squires, Jamie Gilbert, says: “The Titanium 3121 investment was made to boost productivity for our short run packaging. We purchased the IGS packaging software in September and this has enabled us to offer an increasingly wide range of packaging and POS designs to existing and new customers.”
Colour Banners, a Fleetwood-based wide-format graphics company, was already a user of Titanium cutting technology for several years.
The company’s decision to invest in a Titanium 2516 with router was reportedly driven from a need to increase production capacity from clients after exhibiting at several trade shows earlier in the year.
Mark Abbot, owner of Colour Banners, states: “We initially put our neck on the block with our first Titanium cutter in 2019 as the Titanium product range was new to the market.
“Since that very first day, we have never looked back. Our Titanium 3032 with router enabled us to achieve larger print runs, more intricate cutting and it also enabled us to become more efficient and therefore cost effective”.

Commenting on the installations, managing director at IGS, Peter Flynn, says: “These repeat orders are a true reflection of the endless business opportunities you can achieve with a Titanium cutter.
“Our engineer’s expert knowledge in the industry and pro-active service is a major factor in our repeat orders. The price performance of a Titanium makes for a speedy return on the investment, and this powerful combination has allowed us to build a very impressive portfolio of customers who I’m pleased to say keep coming back for more.”
IGS also recently announced the release of the Cobalt SP800 single-pass inkjet printer.
The machine, which is aimed at the short to medium run packaging and point-of-sale market, operates at three resolutions with printing speeds up to 32m/min at 1200 x 300dpi, 16m/min at 1200 x 600dpi and 8m/min at 1200 x 1200dpi. The printing width is 800mm and the maximum media height is 200 mm.
