Focus Label Machinery enters administration
UK label printer manufacturer, Focus Label Machinery, has ceased trading and entered administration due to major cashflow issues, with all of its staff made redundant
Antalis has completed the acquisition of German packaging solutions provider, Speidel Verpackungen, including its team of 60 employees and its manufacturing operations
Antalis, a global distributor of paper, packaging, and visual communication solutions, has extended its presence in the European packaging market with the acquisition of Speidel Verpackungen, a German manufacturer of custom-made packaging solutions.
The latest acquisition by Antalis aims to strengthen its commitment to the bespoke packaging sector, which is seen as an important growth driver for the group.
Founded in 1981, Speidel Verpackungen is based in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, employing 60 people and generating close to €17m (£14.6m) in revenue in 2025. The company serves a broad customer base across industries including medical technology, mechanical engineering, metalworking, and automotive solutions.
Speidel Verpackungen primarily focuses on the use of corrugated and heavy-duty corrugated board in combination with wood and foam materials.

The acquisition is the latest in a string of purchases by Antalis in recent years. This includes the acquisition of print media manufacturer Texo Trade Services, print supplier Fortuna Digital, and UK packaging solutions provider The Packaging Company, all in 2025.
In 2024, the company also purchased Poitoo Adhésifs, a supplier of consumables and equipment for wide-format media, alongside acquiring the assets of Xerox’s EMEA paper business.
