Tecnau, a manufacturer of finishing solutions for the print market, has introduced the Cutter c7, a guillotine and cutter engineered to meet the evolving demands of colour inkjet finishing.

Built on the company’s previous TC 7000 TS model, the Cutter c7 is designed to process a wider range of paper types and weights at higher speeds, allowing print service providers (PSPs) to expand their offerings and operate more efficiently.

The c7 supports paper weights from 60gsm up to 400gsm, allowing for a broad range of applications including postcards, brochures, photo books, and greeting cards.

The cutter is designed to start and stop instantly, allowing for integration into a wide range of finishing lines such as saddle stitchers, folders, or book sewing machines.

Web widths of up to 23in can be accommodated, making the c7 compatible with printed output from a diverse range of inkjet presses.

Coming with newly developed guillotine cutting technology, the solution has been developed to ensure crisp edges including on heavy stock, avoiding the ‘white edge’ flaws that can be produced by traditional rotary cutters.

The cutter also comes with a white paper management system that automatically separates blank sheets, reducing the need for operator intervention and extending run time.

Tecnau will showcase the new Cutter c7 in-line along with a Horizon binding solution at Horizon’s booth during CHINA PRINT 2025, with the aim of highlighting the integration and real-world production capabilities of the cutter.

China Print 2025, which will be held from May 15th to 19th at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing, is a print-focused exhibition showcasing advancements in digital printing, intelligent manufacturing, and sustainable solutions.
