The company says overall efficiency has been boosted by 15% following the implementation of the HP PrintOS Production Hub.
The integrations with Amazon and TikTok allow users to design a range of printed products, with Gelato taking care of production, shipping, and delivery

Print-on-demand company Gelato has announced an integration of its online platform with Amazon, one of the world’s largest online retailers.
The integration, which is currently only available to merchants selling on the Amazon US marketplace, allows users to design and launch products including wall art, calendars, tote bags, and sportswear. Once an order is placed, Gelato takes care of production, shipping, and delivery.
This local on-demand model is reportedly unique to Gelato, and according to the company “not only minimises costs but also reduces waste and carbon emissions, making it a sustainable choice for the next generation of e-commerce.”.
According to data published by the company, Amazon currently commands nearly 40% of the US e-commerce market, processing 66,000 orders globally every hour, with 60% of sales generated by independent sellers.
Gelato Founder and chief executive officer, Henrik Müller-Hansen, says: “The Amazon and Gelato integration helps empower the global creator economy by coupling the world’s largest online marketplace with the world’s largest network for production on demand.”
“Amazon’s vast reach and Gelato’s robust network of local makers gives anyone the opportunity to scale their business in a way that is better for people and the planet.”

In October, it was also announced that the Gelato platform had been integrated with TikTok Shop, allowing creators and ecommerce sellers to offer print-on-demand products directly on TikTok. Gelato’s integration is currently available for both TikTok Shop US and UK.
TikTok is one of the world’s most popular social media platforms, with more than 1.5 billion monthly active users. TikTok Shop reportedly saw over 5 million new US customers across the three days from the ‘Black Friday’ to ‘Cyber Monday’ sale periods alone.
The ‘Black Friday’ period, which traditionally marks the start of the Christmas shopping season in the United States, is a period where international retailers offer special discounts and sales to customers. This year, Black Friday starts on November 29th and runs through to Cyber Monday on December 2nd.
Speaking about the TikTok integration, Müller-Hansen continues: "At Gelato, we’re excited to help drive the future of ecommerce through this partnership with TikTok.
"Today’s consumers, particularly Millennials and Gen Z, care deeply about sustainability, speed of delivery, personalisation, and mobility. With this integration, creators can combine community, content, and commerce, all while delivering high-quality, locally produced products in a more conscious way.
“This is the next era of e-commerce, where social engagement meets smarter, faster, and greener production."
Gelato was founded by Müller-Hansen in 2007 and now consists of the Gelato platform and the consumer brand Optimalprint. Headquartered in Oslo, Norway, the company Gelato currently works with over 140 production partners in 32 countries.
