It’s the time of year in which festive window displays look to wow shoppers and passers-by, and this year’s celebration of paper and Christmas cards from Mount Street Printers is no exception to that challenge.

The installation titled 'Magical Merriment' has been created using Creative Power papers by Antalis and includes a red postbox made from three shades of Keaykolour papers.

Also included is a model of Huxley, the Mount Street Printers’ resident whippet along with a small gold and red robin, both of which are made with Keaykolour Biscuit and Curious Metallics Super Gold. The display is topped off with a flurry of Christmas cards flying into the red postbox.

Magical Merriment was designed and produced by Joyanne Horscroft of Makerie Studio whose clients include Harrods, Gucci, and Fabergé.

Alex Cain, director at Mount Street Printers, says: “Our window for this year is imagined beyond the sentiment of gifts and decorations. The intangible yet essential warmth in receiving a thoughtful and timely Christmas card, sharing your conjured festive spirit, and spreading it with those you love.”

Vicky Weatherington, sales manager for Creative Papers at Antalis, adds: “It’s been a joy to once again work with Mount Street Printers and Makerie Studio to develop yet another stunning and impactful Christmas window display with meaning. Antalis is all about celebrating the creative community and supporting the Print industry – and this is a wonderful example of that.”

Recently Print Monthly has reported on research from Royal Mail demonstrating the continued popularity of Christmas cards but also the increasing relevance of high street products like books and photos.
